This book illustrates the political state of Vietnam in different periods from the Colonial Era to the Vietnam War. It talks about the origins and expansions of the idea of communism, as well as social problems occurring in South Vietnam where Saigon is located. It provides information indicating that some people in Vietnam had longed to get out of foreign influence and had high hopes that the Communist Government from North Vietnam would bring change to the situation. It also illustrates the level of people in Saigon, which gave a general idea of what people are living in Saigon.
