BUZO, A. (2002) The Making of Modern Korea. London: Routledge. (p.27-30 “Korean society in the 1920s”)

This books is an analysis about the Korean history. By giving a detailed chronological reading starting from the 1910s to 1992-2000s, we are able to understand how others countries have influenced the development of Korea. More precisely, the repercussion in the population started with the Japanese occupation from 1910 to 1945. In one of his chapter, the writer talked about the Korean society during the 1920s. This led us to think about the transition between Korea under the system of Choseon Dynasty to the country under occupation.

It is by learning the history of the whole country that we start to be able to understand a smaller scale that is the city.
