The process of Macau from small outlying islands from a city.

To understand the development of a city, the history is always important while the natural landscape of Macau makes it even more imperative to look at.  Macau was originally three tiny islands separate apart.  As the population increased, reclamation projects were carried out to create more flat lands for urban growth. The landscape thus affect the urban planning like the zoning of residential and commercial areas, the radical shapes of roads, etc.
