Dialectics of Urban Proposals for the Saigon Metropolitan Area (1972) is a report prepared by American Planner James E. Bogle, under the commission of the RVN Government and the USAID programme. As a report aiming to provide solutions to the social issues caused by over-crowding in Saigon, Bogle provided a comprehensive account on the city’s urban history prior to his own proposals. The report also outlined researches that were being done on Saigon from the 1950s to 1970s as a part of the literature review.
