Seoul: Yeouido Project/The Artificial Land manifested in Kim Swoo Geun’s Urban Architecture in Late 1960s.

 

 

 

This is a thesis that focuses on artificial land in Kim Soo-Geun’s projects. Yeouido is one of those projects that apply elevated ground to save surface area. This kind of strategy is a way to release more ground for green and open space, and also enhance the concept of verticality in Kim Soo-Geun’s practice.
